“Lead Balloon” is a British television series produced by Open Mike Productions for BBC Four. The series was created and is co-written by comedian Jack Dee and Pete Sinclair. It stars Dee as Rick Spleen, a cynical and misanthropic comedian whose life is plagued by petty annoyances, disappointments and embarrassments. Raquel Cassidy, Sean Power and Tony Gardner also star. The DVDRip PACK of the 6-episode series one was released by group HAGGiS. When Rick Spleen (Jack Dee) was younger he dreamed of being a great stand up comic. Unfortunately, this didn’t turn out so well. Now, he’s a burnt out comedian who spends too much time arguing with his American co-writer Marty, is continually distracted by his family who are after his money (which he avoids spending at all costs!) and by Michael, the local cafe owner.
