Hi egy.....

Thanks for posting this game. Downloaded and installed it but I cant get past the title screen.....Keyboard is not being recognized. ...Other games work perfectly....But this game just would recognize any keyboard input. I dont have a ps3 or xbox360 gamepad but I think this game doesnt require a gamepad to be played. Can anyone help? Thanks Egy

My keyboard didn't work either, but after I installed the keyboard fix it worked. (note that this keyboard fix is unofficial, but it works)

Just input these files into your game directory and they keys should work. The only method to change your key bindings is to edit the "x360kb" file by right click > edit. Then once youre done save. If you try to change the keys in-game, it won't work.

Yap, I found this hotfix also. And now it works.
Is it possible to set throw and focus attack? Or do I have to use punch+kick.
Because I cant manage to get throw every time I want using punch+kick.
So if I could bound to one button that would be great.

Unzip and place it in the directory folder. I usually play with these controls back in the days WinKawaks was the best game on PC. Just grown accustomed to them. If you still need to change the configurations then just right click and edit.

The hotfix only makes your keyboard seem like a controller. So it you want to have a focus attack and/or throw button, you'd have to get rid of a button which has already been assigned. Since all the other buttons are required, your best bet is to remove the buttons which you think you don't need. Maybe the back button, LB or LT.

Now I mentioned earlier that you can't change your controls. Looks like I was wrong to some extent. If you go in the game and go to options > button config. Press left and you should see "controller 1" at the top. You can change the key bindings on this. But it'll only work for the buttons which you have assigned on the hotfix. Hence the emulation of an Xbox controller. If you go down the list, you'll see throw and focus attack. They both should say "NONE" by default. Change these to whatever key you want. (Probably the Back, LB or LT)

in arcade mode i cannot use xbox 360 controller as main controller...

The only thing that NEEDS changing is the "RenderingThread=ON" > "RenderingThread=OFF". The rest of the configurations are the settings that you have put on your computer. The other settings on other PC's are different, depending on the system.

Well basically these are just configuration settings to minimize the lag in the game. Go to Documents > CAPCOM > SUPERSTREETFIGHTERIV. You should find a file named "config.ini". Right click on it and click edit. Now there should be a notepad which comes up with all this text. Where it says "RenderingThread=ON", change it to "RenderingThread=OFF". That's what we're referring to in our discussion.

Back to your problem, read the posts. There is already a keyboard hotfix posted above by me (post #21). Read it and it should get your keyboard working.
