Freddy Fender is best known for his solo ’70s hits plus his tenure in the Texas Tornadoes, amongst other projects. His death at the age of 69 in late 2006 has saddened the music community, but Fender left behind a rich musical legacy that will continue to please his legion of fans as well as new listeners as each year passes.
