    I just wanted to share how to use avast license in the latest version:
    1. change dates on the computer to the date "27/01/2010", why:
    open file avastlic with notepad and see:
    #
    # Name of product: avast! Internet Security
    #
    Feature = AV_AIS
    #
    # License creation date: Jan 27, 2025
    #
    Issued = 1264634475

    This makes as if our license avastlic input on date license is made

    2. install avast 5.0.377 versions of important <you must use this version>
    (you can input license at the time the installer or after restarting the computer)

    Do not forget to set back the date now after avastlic successfully enter

    3. if it is successful, install the version 5.0.396 (latest), and select update
    4. now you have to use it

    notes!
    you will not be able to update virus definition and program automatically (when updates will display warning invalid license) so to be able to update you must download the latest version of avast program and install again
    but this way you can use all the features imaginable.

    this way works on my computer, and I hope this can help you smile
